GET REAL! - Guys, we are dedicating our resources and sweat to making a positive difference in the lives of men.
Which church? If the local school district had a poor graduation rate and those who did graduate could barely read and do basic math you probably wouldn't send your kids there. You'd look at the results of the educational process used there and the requirements for graduation and conclude that your children should go to a school where success was measured by reasonable educational standards. So why do people go to churches where they don't grow as disciples of Christ and then take their children with them? We know people who have been in the same church for 40, 50 even 60 years and don't know the basics of God's word or how to get to heaven. They've gone through confirmation classes as a child, been baptized as a baby - and barely learned a thing since.
If you don't make any other changes, go to a church where the bible is both preached and believed, where prayer is central to worship and where lives are being changed by the transformational power of Jesus Christ. Don't just go through the motions and dont assume all churches are the same. Many are spiritually dead. If you're part of one of them, don't think that your experience is all that God has to offer. Get hooked up with a living, breathing church and start to grow in faith and understanding.
